Gold panning
The gold rush will enchant you too! In the only gold mining village in the Alps, in the Fleißtal valley near Heiligenblut. Originally reconstructed, the small settlement was rebuilt on historical ground. After visiting the village, you can pan for gold in the Fleißbach stream and maybe even find a small nugget.
The 16th century-style gold mining village at the "Alter Pocher", at over 1,800 m above sea level, today tells the story of the miners who dug for gold here between the 14th and 18th centuries. Afterwards, borrow a pair of rubber boots, take a bowl and off you go into the Fleißbach stream. The gold diggers will give you the best tips for professional gold panning. ... and off you go ... a special experience with the family, with a group or just on your own! Have fun!
